Project Quality Management — PMP - Project Management Professional Practice Questions
Project Quality Management is one of the ten PMBOK knowledge areas and encompasses all activities required to determine, achieve, and control quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities for the project and its deliverables. It includes three main processes: Plan Quality Management, Manage Quality, and Control Quality, each with distinct inputs, tools, techniques, and outputs. The PMP exam tests candidates on the cost of quality framework, which separates conformance costs (prevention and appraisal) from non-conformance costs (internal and external failures). A thorough understanding of Project Quality Management is required because quality deficiencies are among the most common causes of project failure, customer dissatisfaction, and budget overruns.
